We did send the return to pool protocol to all families please ensure you are familiar with this. We would like to highlight a few points:

Please note swimmers should not attend training if they are unwell or injured in any capacity that will have an effect on their ability to train during this period.

Swimmers must bring a bag to store their clothes in poolside. They will require goggles, swim cap, pre-filled water bottle (optional flip flops, onesie/dressing gown to go home in). There will be no sharing of equipment allowed.  All swimmers should arrive with their own equipment which should be cleaned at home before and after swimming sessions. Please dress appropriately so you can get undressed and dressed quickly.

Parents/guardians of swimmers under the age of 18 to be asked to remain within the vicinity of the pool, i.e. in or besides their vehicles, during the training session should an issue develop with their swimmer and they need to be immediately contactable. Parents/guardians will not be allowed in the building during the training sessions.

Hand gels available upon entry to reception area of leisure centre to be used by all swimmers, coaches and members.

Swimmers will be required to shower at home before and after attending training. Swimmers    will be requested to have a pre shower at Park Pool before entering the pool for training.

Swimmers are encouraged to use the toilet at home before and after swimming – toilet at the pool is only to be used in cases of emergency and only one swimmer will be permitted to use the toilet at any one time.

Coaches will monitor and positively reinforce return to pool protocols throughout each training session.

Coaches will operate a three-strike rule – each time a swimmer breaches rules, they will be given a warning by a coach (warnings 1 & 2 are verbal yellow cards and warning 3 is a red card).  If a red warning is issued the swimmer will be asked to get out of the pool and leave the training session. Repeat instances could result in no training for the swimmer.
