Tadpoles Week 2With 23 swimmers attending this weekends meet again there were some fantastic results achieved. Plenty of PBs, ASA times and medals won. Medals are awarded in this competition for places 1-6.
With such high quality swimming! medals are hard to achieve. All of the swimmers tried exceptionally hard and again for many this was the first external meet they have been to.
Jessica Cleghorn was placed 1st in the girls 200 meter freestyle so WELL DONE Jessica. Achieving a gold medal.
Katelyn Quirk had a brilliant weekend with three medals achieved out of three races. Katelyn was placed 3rd in both 50 meter butterfly and 50 meter breast. In addition to this she played her own part in the girls 100 metre 11/12 years freestyle relay, again a third place medal was achieved.
Kathryn McEvilly also had a great weekend achieving 4 medals , with 4th position in the 50 meter butterfly and 5th position in the 200 meter backstroke. In addition to this she also won medals in the 11/12 years freestyle relay achieving bronze and the final race of the day, the girls 200 meter cannon when the team achieved 5th place.
The relay teams also took medals home with the following results:
Girls 11/12 Team. 100 meter freestyle 3rd place
Boys 11/12 Team. 100 meter freestyle 5th place
Girls 9/12 Cannon Team 200 meter freestyle 5th place
Boys 9/12 Cannon Team 200 meter freestyle 3rd place
