The Otters team triumphed over six other local teams including Liverpool Penguins, Bootle & North, Garston & Halton to clinch the trophy at this exciting gala at Everton Park.  The team had to grapple their way to the top - after 10 events Otters were only in 3rd place and trailed leaders Penguins by 9 points.  But the team put in a fantastic run of individual swims, which saw the Otters secure 13 first place finishes and meant that after 40 events Otters had taken the lead.  From then on they never looked back and finished with a flourish of strong relays.  The girls cannon team retained the Derrick Lodge trophy, first won by the club in 2010 and the boys cannon team came so close to winning their own trophy.  Several of the swimmers were taking part in their first external gala and served the club with distinction. All of the swimmers can be justifiably proud of their achievement.  Results on members' page under "other galas"
