Today was our third Micro League meet of the season. It started off with most Otters setting off from Park Pool on a coach where lots of fun was had!

Our 9 -12 year old age groups put in a fantastic effort at St Peters Leisure Centre in Burnley.

Congratulations to the 11 year old girls and boys who won their first freestyle relays, todays competition was tough with everyone fighting for vital points at this stage of the season. The other teams Fleetwood, Lancaster and Burnley obviously also put forward their strongest teams available. At more than once during the day the teams were drawing and it was a tough battle.

Again we would especially like to thank all those swimmers that competed in swims above their age group. This is always difficult however they performed really well. We continue to be committed to taking the strongest team available on the day and this was reflected as some of the races were very tight. There were one or two swimmers missing due to other commitments but the swimmers did not let this deter them.
In particular we would like to mention the girls 10 year group and boys 12 age group..

The individual races had 7 wins even with todayÆs competition being high, Annabelle Corlett (10) Eleanor Rea (11) winning their 50 meters backstroke, Eoin OÆConnor (11) winning his 50 meters fly & 50 meters freestyle , Georgia Thompson (9) winning her 25 meters backstroke  and Freya Wissett  (9) winning her 25 meters fly  and Jake Wissett (11) winning his 50 meters breaststroke .

Fantastic results especially from the 9 years OldÆs, well done.

There were also 13 personal best times achieved in the individual races!

Girls:  Annabelle Corlett (10) in her 50 meters breaststroke, Hannah Jones(11) 50 meters freestyle, Eleanor Rea (11) 50 meters backstroke, Katie Robinson (12) 50 meters backstroke  Molly Sharrock 25 meters breaststroke and Georgia Thompson in her 25 meters backstroke .

Boys: Jack Boswell (9) in his 25 meters breaststroke , Sam Ellis (9) in both his 25 meters freestyle and in his 25 meters backstroke ,Adam Jones (12) in both his 50 meters freestyle and in his 50 meters breaststroke,  Ethan Sanders(11) 50 meters backstroke and Jake Wissett (11) in his  50 meters breaststroke.

The team succeeded in the final victory of the day in the cannon which the swimmers put in an overwhelming performance and on this occasion deservedly came in first place
Well done to everyone who took part and we look forward to the next and final gala in July at Wigan.

This gala again will be very important as we need to try to gain maximum points here   at Wigan to avoid potential swim off at the end of the season. Two of the teams at this meet will be fighting for promotion so points will be hard to come by.

If swimmers are selected for the team we would really appreciate their attendance in order to secure all important points needed.

Please note when looking at times, all personal records are updated and team results to follow later members page under Micro League tab: all 2nd and 4thplaces in relays were shallow end starts with no diving allowed, hence slightly slower times( and all boys in cannon start shallow end hence slightly slower times)
Also on swimmers individual times, to see relays you must use the drop down on the left hand side to include relay times.

Final Result 1st Lancaster A  138pts , 2nd  Ormskirk 133pts, 3rd Fleetwood A 128 pts,  4thBurnley  82pts.
