This weekend was the first weekend of the Lancashire County Championships held at the Aquatic Centre 50 meter pool in Manchester.

With 3 swimmers taking part on Saturday, Lucy Boswell,Richard McKinney and Eleanor Rea all competing in breast stroke events 50 and 100 meters. All three swimmers done well with 2 PBs being achieved too by Richard and Eleanor.

Sunday was a full day with five swimmers competing, in the morning Eleanor Rea in the backstroke and Mathew Russo in the breast stroke achieving a PB.

The afternoon session had Kieran Hennessy, Richard McKinney and Jake Wissett competing in the 50 freestyle with all achieving PBs and Eleanor Rea in the 200 freestyle and 50 breast again achieving PBs.

No medal places achieved however this does not detract from the fantastic effort and times archived. Qualification in its self is a great achievement and all the swimmers done well to achieve times. They are all ready looking forward to next years event and we would love to see other swimmers there too.

The second weekend takes place Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March at Liverpool Aquatic Centre with Eleanor competing in the 200IM, 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly. Good luck from us all.

Well done to Eleanor for again achieving some fantastic times at the Liverpool Aquatic Centre. Great achievment.
