A very good turnout on Sunday afternoon. Full results for Sundays gala can now be accessed on Members page tab, Internal gala, individual results to follow.

A busy afternoon with lots of first time swims and personal best times achieved. A special WELL DONE! To all swimmers who attempted the longer 200 meter races.

New club records were set today , first time 200 meter fly at this interim  meet  are set by Anna Hulme for the girls 200 meter fly with a time of 3:04:46 and the boys by Kieran Hennessey with a time of 2:51:47 again a massive well done.

In addition to this Kieran also broke an existing record in the 200 meter backstroke when he broke a record with a massive margin of 3 seconds! The new record now set by Kieran is 2:43:13.

Both Anna and Kieran have worked hard to set these times and the many hours they spend in the pool and doing other activities (Anna had just come from a triathlon- which she had won!) This shows what all the hard work they put in can reward them with.

There are plenty of other personal best times and excellent first time swims.

There were a number of swimmers that had pre entered the event and did not notify that they would not be attending. With these events we would really appreciate a short message or email withdrawing from the event. This allows us to schedule the races more effectively and possibly allow swimmers with late entries to take part.

Anyone that has been disqualified please speak to your coach regarding this to get feedback and use this friendly interim gala as experience for the Club Championships and other galas.

Main disqualificationÆs on fly arms not brought together and on backstroke û left position on the back other than to initiate a turn. These are things that can be worked on and for the older swimmers careless mistakes.

Well done everyone and thanks to all that helped the event run well.
