Echo Cup 1st Round 2012

After a long summer break the Otters selected for the first round of the 2012 Echo Knockout Cup put in an excellent performance. With 12 individual PB's set in the sprint races and a tremendous final mixed cannon effort, securing second place we came overall fourth on the afternoon.
With this year's entries being an uneven number of teams 11 rather than the traditional 12 instead of points awarded for each race, the promoter's will use the times achieved from both heats and then award places 1st to 11th. All odd places will meet together and all evens together in the next round. This is the fairest method and therefore it becomes irrelevant who you are drawn with as its all down to times.So we are awaiting an update for a virtual meet as if all 11 teams were swimming at the same time.
