A brilliant day was had at Blackpool on Saturday 21st when three of our senior Otters attended the Blackpool lights L3 meet.
There was a high turnout for this meet and the swimmers
had an excellent day chasing much needed times and chasing essential times for
County level.
They all had fantastic results: in no particular order:
Boys
Luke Chorley (14) achieved 5 gold medals out of 5
races, 3 of which were personal best times. 50 meter freestyle (PB), 100 meter freestyle
(PB) 200 meter IM (PB), 50 meter backstroke and 100 meter backstroke. This is a wonderful days work Luke and very
much deserved.
Dan Jones (13) also had a great day with excellent results
in his races and again achieving personal bests and medals: 50 meter back (PB)
200 meter back (PB) and silver medal,100 meter freestyle (PB) and 200 meter IM
(PB) and a silver medal.
Girls
Chelsi Hanlon (13) also put in a great performance
where she achieved also 2 personal best times and two medals.
50 meter breaststroke (PB) and because of the speeding
ticket rule Chelsi was awarded first place and gold medal rather than silver
shown in the official results.
200 meter breaststroke (PB) and silver medal. Fantastic.
These are great results from all three swimmers. A
massive well done from all at Otters and keep up the hard work.
